The global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been significant in social, political and economic aspects worldwide. The Ministry of Economy and Finance has evaluated its effects, with estimates that vary in the contraction of Peruvian GDP, the highest being 20 percentage points according to Eguiluz and a more moderate estimate of 12 percentage points according to the Ministry. Government measures, such as the Economic Plan against COVID-19, have sought to mitigate this crisis, including tax extensions and spending and liquidity programs. In response to these provisions, financial institutions such as CREDINKA have implemented individual and massive credit rescheduling since April 2020, with the aim of alleviating the financial obligations of the population and contributing to economic reactivation. These actions have been carried out following government regulations and internal guidelines, generating an increase in CREDINKA's liquidity ratio due to the reduction in credit disbursements and the stagnation of working capital. Individual rescheduling at Torre Credinka Agency was based on criteria such as ability and willingness to pay, credit risk, and business status. Maximum terms of 24 months were established and efforts were made to maintain favorable interest rates. Regarding mass rescheduling, they were applied automatically with maximum terms of 12 months and considerations similar to individual rescheduling were maintained. The results reflected that the majority of the credits were rescheduled both individually and en masse. Finally, the analysis of the SBS reports highlighted an excess of liquidity in national currency and US dollars, with a continuous increase that could affect the legal reserve cost required by the BCRP. This excess liquidity was attributed to the financial company's lack of regular disbursements, which could have long-term implications on its liquidity management.
