The present research work entitled: Affiliation to the Pension System of the Tourism Guides of the Inca Trail network of the city of Cusco - period 2016, developed in the province of Urubamba. The research develops the variable affiliation to the pension system, existing in Peru two pension schemes that are: The National Pension System (ONP) and the Private Pension System (AFP), the research will have emphasis on the Private Pension System using Of complement the National Pension System. In the city of Cusco and as a result of the accelerated increase in tourist activity in recent years, it has been observed that there is a large number of tourism guides who work without any kind of social security by their employers due to the activity that Perform are considered independent workers for this reason they personally must ensure their social security and that of their family, making voluntary contributions to the pension system of their choice. However, statistics show that there is only 15.60% of the total number of self-employed workers that contribute to a pension system, which is undoubtedly an alarming figure for the misguided attempts of the Peruvian state to create a workers' pension knowledge. The main objective was to identify the factors that limit the affiliation of tourism guides, it was considered as a general hypothesis that the lack of social security has a negative impact on the affiliation to the pension system of tourism guides. In the theoretical framework, the following concepts were mentioned: pension knowledge, pension systems, obligations and rights to be affiliated, independent workers and their tax obligations, the Inca road network and the work developed by tour guides; The reform of the private pension system was also mentioned as amended and repealed. The type of research from the cognitive point of view has the purpose of describing how is the previsional knowledge and how is the current situation of affiliation to the pension system of the Tourism Guides of the Inca Trail Network of the city of Cusco. For the development of the research, the data collection technique was used through the survey instrument that served as a source of information to meet the stated objectives. In this way it was possible to conclude that the factors that limit the affiliation are the lack of social security training, social security awareness and social security.
