Introduction: Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), considered a chronic inflammatory disorder, results in a pathology that causes disability and affects the quality of life. It is really necessary to understand the person in every aspect, to know how they feel physically and psychologically, their daily relationship and how they can carry on with their life, which is why taking into consideration the quality of life and functional capacity of these patients encourages carry out the present study. Objective: Determine the relationship between quality of life and functional capacity in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis at hospital II of Abancay 2023-2024 Methods: This is a descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional, analytical study. With a total sample of 72 patients diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the II-Essalud hospital in the city of Abancay, who came for consultation and were evaluated using the internationally validated quality of life (QoL-RA) and functional capacity (HAQ) questionnaires during the period November- January 2023-2024. Results: In relation to quality of life and capacity, a Spearman's Rho value of -0.557 was obtained, with a p-value of less than 0.05. In this way, it can be stated that there is a negative and moderate relationship between the score of the QoL-RA questionnaire and the HAQ questionnaire, which means that there is a moderate and statistically significant association between the level of disability and the quality of life. Conclusions: Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis at hospital II of Abancay present a relationship between quality of life and functional capacity, since as the level of disability increases, the level of quality of life reduces and vice versa.
