The city of Cusco has a large amount of cultural heritage due to its development and historical evolution over time, which has left various historical layers from pre-Inca times to the present. Therefore, the city is suitable for spaces that foster culture and identity. Currently, there are many cultural spaces that only fulfill one function such as museums, temporary exhibitions, crafts, libraries, theaters, etc., and that are not adequately developed in the city. As a result, the needs of the population and visitors, who require a place to carry out cultural and social activities, are not met. According to the new design strategies developed in current cultural spaces, they understand that color in sensory perception plays an important role in guaranteeing a better development of the cultural proposal, the appropriation of space and the generation of new experiences; therefore, a greater degree of acceptance of people when experiencing a new perspective of interaction in the cultural space. This fact demonstrates that, in addition to having significant cultural and heritage value at the local, national and international level, the design of cultural spaces in the context studied has been backward and without consideration. In recent years, it has been shown according to studies based on neuroscience that color works well as a stimulus in cultural and learning spaces, which is why it has been decided to replicate this design strategy that influences the generation of new experiences and sensations. , which justifies the project. As a result, the present study provides a scientific contribution by applying color theory to the sensory perception of cultural spaces and can serve as a reference for future related research.
