This research aimed to determine the correlation of book attributes, promotions and recommendations with the physical book purchase decision of Centennials in 2023. The study was quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional. A previously validated questionnaire was applied. The convenience sample consisted of 216 readers between 18 and 28 years of age in Lima, selected in spaces such as book clubs, book fairs and bookstores. The sample size was determined, according to the program's tradition, to have a minimum of 200 surveys. The results were compared with base papers carried out in other countries. The results indicate that book attributes, promotions and recommendations have a strong and moderate correlation with the purchase decision. Impulse buying and repurchase of authors for personal use were found to be higher than for gifts. Women were more likely to make impulse purchases. In physical channels, they prefer bookstores in shopping malls and book fairs. In digital, 41% frequently buy online. 60% have no preference in number of pages and would pay on average between 70 and 100 soles for a book for personal use. They value recommendations from bookstagrammers, friends, family and store staff. It is concluded that omnichannel strategies with emphasis on these recommendations, book attributes and promotions focused on each age segment will improve the shopping experience. Training for booksellers on sales arguments and the creation of reading communities is recommended.
