The main objective of this research is to make a proposal for the integration of good project management practices of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the tools of the Lean Construction methodology, to achieve greater reliability for meeting the deadline and cost contractual, and within the scope of the project. For the research case, a multifamily building project in metropolitan Lima was considered. For this, the analysis, monitoring, and evaluation of the items with the highest incidence of the structural hull were carried out, such as those of steel, formwork and concrete. Proposals for improvement are described regarding the adaptation and integration of project management processes under a PMI approach are described, such as those reflected in the PMBOK® (Project Management Body of Knowledge) 6th edition guide; using techniques such as the Last Planner System of Lean Construction for the control and monitoring of the activities in execution. In the same way, the panorama is considered with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic that the country is currently going through, affecting the various productive sectors, especially the construction sector. Finally, it is concluded that the application of the integration of project management under the PMI approach and Lean Construction, allow to improve the flow of work processes by eliminating waste, giving greater certainty to finish projects on time, with savings in costs and required quality.
