The Prívate University of the Peruvian Amazon • UPSEP, is a college-level educational institution, leading competitive training of professionals committed to the discipline, academic excellence and humanity, according to the requirements of globalization and technological advancement. The main objective of the University is to train professionals in the exercise of his specialty and in your personal life, is competent, conscientious, committed and disciplined in their development. We look after the academic standards and quality, the teaching, research and service meet the challenges posed by the development and • technological advancement of the region, the country and the world. This project aims at implementing a Document Processing System in UPSEP, with the primary purpose of recording and tracking of incoming documents to the institution or generated in the various areas, generating lists and reports their condition and its passage through the different levels. With this, it has improved the Document Processing function within the institution. This system has been developed under the Web environment with intuitíve interfaces and for designing the database was used Entity-Relationshíp model. In its development, the process has been modeled using the RUP, UML notation using it and it has been implemented in the programming language PHP on a MySQL database, for this he used as tools: IBM Rational Rose and Erwin for Dreamweaver proper development of the system. Based on the proposed indicators, a comparison was made between the traditional (manual) and the computer system, with the following results: The mean duration of the registration of documents has decreased to only 46 seconds ( 68%) The average seek time of documents has decreased to 34 seconds (55%), the average time of verification and tracking of documents was reduced to O minutes and 12 seconds (74%).
