The objective of this research work is to show that teaching has to be proposed according to the interests and needs of the students, taking into account how to make it more attractive for them. We can find attractive strategies that allow students to achieve the expected level according to their Regular Basic Education cycle. In this sense, the present research aims to analyze the influence of comics as a strategy to improve reading comprehension in 5th grade primary school students at the I.E. 3084 “Enrique Guzmán y Valle” of the Los Olivos district – 2022. The main problem of the research responds to: What is the influence of comics as a strategy to improve reading comprehension in 5th grade primary school students at the I.E. 3084 “Enrique Guzmán y Valle” of the Los Olivos district – 2022? Seeking to determine the influence of comics as a strategy to improve reading comprehension in students, being carried out from learning sessions proposed using comics and interacting with students to improve their reading comprehension. The study is of a quantitative applied research type that has a quasi-experimental experimental design, the use of techniques such as the survey was proposed, based on the design of instruments such as the pre-test and post-test questionnaire applied ethically. In this regard, the results allow us to conclude that applying comics as a teaching strategy considerably improves reading comprehension in students at a general level, since the null hypothesis is rejected and the research hypothesis is accepted, demonstrating a range of 35.63 , which indicates greater significance of the experimental classroom in the post-test.
