The objective of this research work is to determine the effects of the applied robotics workshop in the improvement of meaningful learning, through the quantitative approach, guided by the quasi-experimental design. The results of the Mann Whitney U test in the pretest condition indicate the non-existence of significant differences in the degrees of significant learning between the study groups in the pretest (z = - 4.080, p> 0.01), being higher the mean range in the control group (58.80) with respect to the experimental group (mean range = 36.30); but after the application of the applied robotics workshop (posttest), highly significant differences were observed (z = -7.499, p <0.01) in favor of the experimental group, because the average range of the experimental group (79.01) is higher than that of the control group (36,14). Given this, the null hypothesis is rejected based on the results, and the alternate hypothesis is accepted: There is a significant difference considering the before-after application between the experimental and control group in meaningful learning. It is observed that the students of the experimental group are those who obtain the best score and the best progression of meaningful learning. In conclusion: There is significant influence of the applied educational robotics workshop in improving meaningful learning in students of the Electronics and Informatics specialty, National University of Education, 2017.
