The objective of this research work was the process of globalization in which the world finds itself, added to economic openness, has brought with it a permanent organizational competition who have launched themselves into the search and design of strategies to ensure the quality of the goods and services, so that they can be better positioned in the markets (Rubinsztejn, Rivera-Torres and Grijalvo, 2015). In this scenario, in our country and in other Latin American countries and with the purpose of liberalizing education, a set of reforms have been implemented for this purpose (Mollis, 2014) that allow for a substantial increase in private investment through creation of new universities and educational institutions of all levels. Laval (2004) states that private investment in education is nothing more than the response to the serious educational crisis that the country is experiencing. It is stated that educational institutions must offer a service that meets quality requirements. The strong private investment in education has meant a substantial increase in competition between public and private universities, which in turn has generated that students see the educational offer significantly increased and are allowed to choose the university that can best satisfy them. their needs, considering the prestige, but also the information of those who already study in these places. It is clear that, in a country like ours, costs are taken into account when deciding and in many cases, despite negative comments, they decide to study in universities with little prestige, because they have no other alternative (Fabela -Cárdenas and García-Treviño, 2014). However, it is important to note that the high levels of competition, added to the demands of government authorities, have made it possible for universities to strive to achieve better quality standards so that they are in a position to satisfy the needs of students ( Dos Santos, 2016).
