The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between iron consumption and hemoglobin level in pregnant women at the María del Socorro clinic. The research had a quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive correlational design. The sample was made up of 90 pregnant women. A questionnaire on the frequency of consumption of foods with iron content was used, which was validated through an expert judgment, 87.5% and 0.782 reliability were obtained through the Cronbach's Alpha test, which reflects excellent reliability and validity. The hypothesis testing was carried out through the Pearson Chi-square Test, p=0.000 was obtained, therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The results showed that 26.7% of pregnant women with anemia have a low consumption of iron, 20.0% have a medium consumption, 6.7% have a high consumption, pregnant women without anemia have a low consumption of 7.8%, 26.7% % have medium consumption and 12.2% have high consumption. Regarding hemoglobin levels, 46.7% of pregnant women did not present anemia, 42.2% presented mild anemia and 11.1% presented moderate anemia. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between iron consumption and hemoglobin level in pregnant women at the María del Socorro clinic.
