The objective of this research work is to establish to what extent the application of a verbal aptitude program improves the capacity for learning in the construction of the understanding of new information in the first grade secondary school student of the I.E. Josefa Carrillo y Albornoz in the district of Lurigancho, Chosica, UGEL Nº 06 Ate-Vitarte. The population subject to evaluation is comprised of 122 students from the first level of secondary education, distributed in sections A-B-C-D. The sampling is probabilistic, the sample size is 30 1st year students. grade “C”, where the study variables have been used: Verbal aptitude program and Ability to understand new information. To fulfill the purpose of the research, the quasi-experimental design is used, which collects data from field work in a specific period, from which two objective tests of 20 questions each are applied; which measure the dimensions of meaning, relationship, understanding and interpretation, and that provide comprehensive information about students' ability to understand new information. These tests are pretest and posttest; and, that after applying the entry test, the experimentation method is developed. The proposed hypothesis is thus demonstrated.
