The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between family dysfunction and achievement of learning in communication in primary school students of the application schools "Guamán Poma de Ayala", Ayacucho, for development and detail of the objective it was necessary to address a methodology that present a quantitative approach, likewise, the type of study, based on the context and what is needed was basic, under a non-experimental design with a correlational scope, in order to establish if both events are associated. The sample consisted of 186 primary school students, and the family APGAR questionnaire for children was used to collect information to assess family dysfunction, while to measure learning achievement an observation sheet was used according to the competencies described by MINEDU. The results showed that 78% of the students present a serious family dysfunction, which is reflected in the learning achievement, since 77% of them are in the beginning. In this sense, it is concluded that family dysfunction and the achievement of learning in communication are related.
