The fundamental objective of this research work is the procedures and steps of the strategies for reading understanding in the Experimental School of Application of the National University of Application Education, 2019. The same one that has as a study problem, analyze the following: how the strategies influence the reading understanding of the students of the Educational Institution of Application. The purpose of this work is to find the percentage of influence of the strategic procedure in the compression of texts in the students of the Application school. For this work, which is estimated to be developed and applied, the quantitative approach was used with a quasi-experimental design, where the sample was taken from 24 schoolchildren for the experimental work and 30 for the control work. In order to collect data, tests were used for each of the corresponding variables. At the end of the investigation, it was possible to deduce from the results that there is a great influence of the strategies in the comprehension of texts.
