Dengue is an infectious febrile disease, caused by the transmission of the dengue virus (DENV), transmitted by the bite of the infected mosquito of the Aedes genus, mainly by A. aegypti, which is currently widespread in and adjacent to tropical areas. This disease does not have a specific treatment and the only vaccine has limitations. Thus, laboratory diagnosis is a very important tool to provide rapid and relevant management to the patient. In the province of Satipo, the execution of ELISAs NS1 was carried out late for various reasons, among them, the lack of trained and/or specialized personnel in the execution of the assay and the lack of standardized operating protocols. Starting from my period of work, various filters were carried out from the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical parts to have an adequate flow of the samples and improve the quality of the test results; Thus, this work focused on the drafting of two Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding the ELISA NS1 assay and the evaluation of their impact. A review of various protocols, guides, and standards was carried out and the support of the experience obtained in the work for the drafting of the SOPs was carried out, as well as data collection for the analysis of their impact. Two SOPs were drafted, one specific for health establishments and another for the Intermediate Laboratory; internal quality control of ELISA NS1 execution is best after prior training. It was identified that from the beginning of my work, there was a decrease in the time to issue results, the percentage of hospitalizations and seropositive, and better coordination with the vector control area.
