ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of family factors such as: affection, communication, existing problems in the family and parental intervention in the education of their children; in school coexistence: construction of respect, tolerance and equal rights. This descriptive research allowed to specify the characteristics of the population and determine the conditions that prevail in it. Qualitative and quantitative data were used, the methods: inductive, deductive, analytical, and synthetic, the techniques were: in-depth interview, testimony and survey, the instruments being: interview record, interview guide and questionnaire. The population was 58 high school students, male and female, aged between 12 and 15 years; the type of sampling was probabilistic. According to the results, 39.7% of adolescents receive restricted affection from their family, 32.8% use distracting or manipulative communication, 72.4% have a sick family member, which has the greatest impact on coexistence, and 63.8% of parents or guardians sometimes get involved in their children's education because they spend more time on other activities. Family factors directly influence coexistence, the way adolescents relate to their peers, teachers and other people, not only at school but also outside of it. The effects can be positive or negative, creating an unpleasant environment where learning is difficult, as well as the integral development of students.
