ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to study the mypes and their administration of intangibles in the city of Chimbote in 2019. A non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive design was carried out. It was classified into three segments: intangibles of people's competence, internal structure and external structure; `For this, 11 indicators and 27 sub-indicators were developed. To obtain information on the management of intangible assets of the mypes, a survey with closed questions was prepared to a sample of 47 micro and small companies chosen at random dedicated to selling (clothing, electrical appliances and construction material). Where it is verified through a statistical graphic analysis that the administration of these intangibles is empirical and with a minimum of knowledge. In the applied survey we can identify that the administrations of the mypes on average manage their intangibles by 19.6%, evidencing the little knowledge and minimal importance they give to intangibles.
