The general objective was to determine the relationship between the level of motivation and job satisfaction in nurses of the emergency service of the Maria Auxiliadora 2019. Work of descriptive type correlational, cross section, worked with a population of 102 nurses and a sample of 81. To collect the information used the questionnaire, whose reliability was 0.852. The results were as follows: For the level of motivation, it was at a low level (80.2%), in its dimensions: autonomy to carry out activities, low level (70.4%); in a variety of activities, low level (67.9%); identity of activities, low level (86.4%); meaning of activities, low level, (51.9%); performance of activities, low level (79%), and job satisfaction, low level (91.4%). We conclude that the motivation level is direct and significant with the job satisfaction of the nurses of the Emergency Service of the Maria Auxiliadora Hospital according to Spearman's Rho coefficient = .932. It is recommended that the director of the hospital develop a motivational policy of recognition and reward for workers for their job performance to achieve job satisfaction.
