The general objective of this research is to describe how oral communication and the Blackboard platform are perceived by students of the tenth cycle of the School of Architecture of a private university in Lima in Cycle 2020-II, in a context of health emergency due to COVID-19. In this reality, the institutions had to implement technological solutions for remote education. For the sample, 10 students from the Faculty of Engineering, School of Architecture, were interviewed. The methodology used was developed under a qualitative approach, descriptive scope, and phenomenological design. The results showed regarding oral communication, that the visual component was worked on a few occasions due to the scarce use of video, but events such as presentations and evaluations were used. In contrast, the vocal and verbal elements were the components most used by the students. As for the Blackboard platform, through its different tools, it allowed students to develop their educational activities remotely, being able to interact with each other and their teachers in real and delayed time. However, it is verified that most of them have not received adequate training regarding the tools offered by the platform. It is concluded that the components of oral communication manifested in a heterogeneous way, because of the limitations in the interaction and the absence of practical training. However, it is possible to develop it in its three visual, vocal, and verbal elements, plus the capacity of the tools that the Blackboard platform has. And therefore, it is necessaryto have adequate connectivity conditions and training for students and teachers regarding the benefits of the platform and the three V-V-V.
