The present study's general research objective is to describe how mindfulness and socio-emotional bonding are applied in class sessions, from the perceptions of teachers from seven private universities in Peru, in 2020 II. The participants were 11 teachers from seven private universities in Peru, to whom an in-depth interview was applied. The methodology used develops the qualitative approach, descriptive scope and phenomenological design. The results showed that teachers apply simple tools of breathing and active pauses in their class sessions with the aim of creating a space of calm and well-being in their students, however these practices have stopped being shared because in the current context they consider that time is a scarce resource. It is concluded that teachers value socio-emotional bonding and recognize the impact it generates on the academic performance of their students. Mindfulness tools contribute to the integral formation of the teacher, this being a fundamental aspect to create integral, meaningful and transformative learning spaces.
