The objective of the research was to establish the relationship between personal self-concept and the employability in final-year students and graduates of private universities. A non-experimental, cross-sectional and non-causal correlational design was used. The sampling was non-probabilistic, for convenience, and the sample consisted of 94 students, most of who belonged to the female sex and whose ages were between 20 and 22. The Personal Self-Concept Questionnaire (PSA) and the Scale of Perceived Employability in University Students (EPEU) were used as instruments. It was found that many students and graduates from private universities presented a moderate personal self-concept and perception of employability. It is concluded that personal self-concept and employability present a significant, positive, and weak relationship, with a small effect size. The implications of the results were discussed.
