This thesis determines the influence of the construction of a concrete wall at the base of the long-hole pit for the accumulation of hydraulic fill in the mining cycle. The use of this concrete wall leads to an increase in the use of hydraulic fill inside the mine (from 3,000 m3/month to 12,000 m3/month), in addition to the reduction in costs for the fill process (from $ 7.49 /m3 to $ 2.77/m3). This wall. By increasing its safety factor due to its respective construction, eliminates the risk of leakage from the hydraulic fill, avoiding possible accidents that may involve personnel, management, the environment, and equipment. The increase in hydraulic fill inside the mine means that the pumping system, gutters and road cleaning equipment must be operational, since there will be a greater amount of water produced by the hydraulic fill, which will be evacuated from the pit through the drainage of the mine, quenas located in the concrete wall. Finally, the greater volume of hydraulic fill in the mine generates a longer useful life for the tailings dam on the surface, this will reduce the consumption of land adjacent to the dam, providing facilities so that the environment is not impacted and avoiding possible conflicts social.
