The present work consists of the development of the technical and economic feasibility study for the construction of a future Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant with an installed power capacity of 10MW in the Peruvian jungle region. For this, it will be necessary to carry out an economic evaluation that determines acceptable financial indicators. For the present work, an optimal design was made for the Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant using bifacial technology based on the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standard, in order to increase the production of electrical energy through an adequate performance ratio, due to the fact that the irradiation in the Peruvian jungle is not high. Subsequently, the estimated budget of USD 13,971,017 to be used for the construction of the Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant is determined, and with this an economic evaluation of the project is carried out. Based on the economic evaluation, it is determined that the price of electricity to be offered before a possible private auction based on the present legal regulations regarding contracts for the purchase and sale of energy will be 80 USD/MWh, with an LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) of 56.03 USD/MWh. From the economic evaluation, the main financial indicators of the project will also be determined, which were: IRR (Internal Rate of Return) = 23.9%, NPV (Net Present Value) = USD 7,568,390 and B/C (Cost Benefit Ratio) = 1.35, which indicate that the construction of a Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant is viable and self-sustaining. The financial indicators will be important in making decisions to determine the construction of the Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant in the city of Iquitos.
