This research thesis evaluates and analyzes the relationship between cause and effect variables, Reliability Analysis and Optimization of Maintenance Management of the Cement Bagging Line in the Dispatch Area of the Cement Plant at Villa María del Triunfo – Lima, finding a poor maintenance management of critical equipment for the Cement Bagging Line because of a Maintenance Plan based on Reliability is not taken into consideration. In this context, we did not know wich are the critical equipment or what stage of their life cicle are at, neither are carry out analysis of failure modes and effects of the equipment, nor handled historical data of the equipment failures to assess its reliability and determine the optimum preventive maintenance cycle of each critical equipment based on reliability analysis, among others. All these shortcomings has avoided the implementation of frecuency or cycles of equipment maintenance of the Cement Bagging Line in the Dispatch Area considering the equipment maintenance cycle every thirty days. In this situation, to optimize the management of the equipment maintenance of the Cement Bagging Line, using Reliability Analysis tool. In this research first, we have investigated the relationship of critical equipment of the Cement Bagging Line (qualitative technique) and, then, using time historical data or statistical between failures of critical equipment, and using softwares Relest and Disma for determining the best distribution of failures probability, and the characteristic times with their own probabilities. At the same time, we evaluated in the quantitative way the following: Mean time between failures and average time of repair, availability indexs, reliability and failures rate) In adittion to this, we determined the optimal preventive maintenance cycle of critical equipment for the Cement Bagging Line, based on reliability analysis of them. Also, we describe the funtions of the equipment and its parts, analyze their posible failure modes, causes of failures, their effects and consequences, failures occurred in 2014 from all this, we determine the main maintenance strategies tasks most appropiate for operational context, being technically and economically viable to include in the new maintenance plan to be used from 2015. The present study was carried out with historical data since 2014, putting into practice in 2015, as a result: a new Maintenance Plan was obtained; We knew the stage of the equipments life; Better availability; Better Mean time between failures, all these improve the Maintenance Management Current, reducing plant shut downs, achieving savings of 33% in maintenance cost from 2015, consequently, increasing cement dispatch.
