In this work, a methodology was developed for the verification of the Monaco 5.11 treatment planning system based on the considerations of the new small field dosimetry formalism TRS No. 483, IAEA-AAPM, 2017. The experimental measures were carried out in The National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, in a linear accelerator Elekta Model Infinity that has a system of micro multiláminas APEX 2,46 mm thick and was divided into two parts: in the first part was characterized the different detectors used such as: Pinpoint ( CI) of 0,015 cm3 , Edge (diode) 0,019 mm3, Semiflex (CI) of 0,125 cm3 and Micro Diamond of 0,004 mm3 in reproducibility, dependence of linearity, dependence on the dose rate and dependence on energy; In the second part, the validation process of the Monaco treatment planning system for fields of 0,49 × 0,49 cm2 , 0,98 × 0,98 cm2 and 4,92 × 4,92 cm2 was carried out at depths of 1,5 cm, 5 cm and 10 cm by performing of the reference and relative dosimetry for small fields, the Output Factor with uncorrected variation greater than 3 % was determined and the correction was made according to the new TRS 483 protocol; Finally, all the measured results of the relative dosimetry were compared with the data obtained from the Monaco 5.11 planner and with the Elekta database, the results were evaluated using the Student's T-test with a confidence value of 98 % and a significance of α = 2 % ; in all cases it was determined that there is no significant difference. Based on the present work developed, a new methodology is established for the verification of small fields that calculate treatment-planning systems (TPS) and that is very important for radiotherapy treatments that use advanced techniques.
