This thesis presents the analysis and study of nonlinear analytical response of a hybrid wall, this is done to improve the behavior of the buildings and obtain a greater ductility that avoids human and economic losses. In Chapter I the basic concepts and the definitions of the most used terms will be described, the main consideration of this chapter is the definition of a hybrid wall and the difference it has of post-tensioned walls and conventional walls. In the second chapter we study the most important past research and contribution, which aims to show the evolution of the analysis and design of this structural system. The analysis and obtaining of the non-linear response of the hybrid wall is developed in Chapter III making a proposal of analytical model, this chapter is of vital importance because it describes the concepts used by the author and the differences with respect to the studies carried out with previous investigations, the obtained in the proposed model it is verified with an experimental test taken from the researches studied. In Chapter IV an application of what was obtained in the previous chapter is made, it is use of a building located in peruvian territory since it is intended that this structural system can be introduced in the design practice. Finally in Chapter V, a comparison is made of the results obtained for conventional walls and hybrid walls to observe the considerations that must be made to the design of these. The methodology of this thesis consists of the collection of information, followed by a processing and proposal of response model of the hybrid wall and through comparisons to conventional walls make the conclusions.
