The main objective of this thesis was to determine what is the effect on the compressive strength of three levels of cane honey in traditional adobe. In Cajamarca, there is a high percentage of houses made of adobe, which mostly have not shown satisfactory behavior in the face of seismic movements, that is, they have not had adequate technical assistance in their construction, considering them vulnerable to earthquakes, and that, According to the studies carried out by the National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI), our city has an intermediate seismic activity, where earthquakes of intensity VII - VIII could occur, according to the Mercalli Scale, such as happened in Pisco and Chincha (2007). It is for this reason that it was decided to investigate the block of stabilized and compacted adobe, since in other countries the investigations carried out on this material have obtained favorable results. Developing a compacted adobe made with the CINVA RAM machine adding cane honey and lime. The research was based mainly on classifying a type of land suitable for the development of these blocks, dosing the land in different proportions of cane honey and lime (3: 2, 5: 2.7: 2%) respectively, to then evaluate its effects on the resistance to compression and compare the results with those of a compacted adobe block (without addition). The results were partially satisfactory, the addition of cane honey, in percentages of (3: 2, 5: 2) % in the compacted adobe, improves its mechanical properties, in compression resistance by 4% and 27% respectively with respect to to the value found for the standard sample (without addition). However, when adding a percentage of cane honey and lime (7-2%) respectively, the compression resistance drops by up to 19% compared to the standard sample.
