This research work aims to improve inventory management to increase profitability in a footwear company, the type of research is pre-experimental, having Inventory management as an independent variable and a dependent variable to increase profitability in a footwear company. When making the diagnosis of the different root causes with an Ishikawa diagram, the following were identified: lack of monitoring of stocks in the warehouse, lack of order and cleanliness, lack of planning of material requirements, lack of entry and exit control of inventories, bad distribution of the personnel, and lack of renewal of electronic equipment. A cost analysis was carried out for each problem, calculating a monetary loss of S / 100,052.42 annually. With these data, each of the proposed improvement tools was subsequently developed in detail, seeking to mitigate these previously identified root causes. Finally, having developed the improvement tools, the impact of each of these on the profitability of the company in question was described, and the improvement proposal that had been prepared was evaluated economically and financially, through an income statement. and cash flow of the project, in order to determine the economic feasibility of said research in a footwear company, Trujillo-2021
