The objective of the present work was to minimize the inventory costs of the cargotransport company Fabián Express S.A.C. for this a model of the Markov Chainwas developed, which is a new and unknown model in our environment so as tomake forecasts of the probabilistic demand of the spare parts and thus have abetter management of the requirements of the same. First, a diagnosis was made of the current situation of Fabián Express S.A.C. foreach study area. Selecting the areas of Logistics and Maintenance, since it was diagnosed that they were the most problematic, causing high operating costs. Once the stage of the identification of the problems was completed, a diagnosisof the company was made, which took into account all the problems that were evidenced in order to demonstrate the above mentioned. Subsequently, the rootcauses were prioritized through the Pareto diagram to give way to determine theeconomic impact generated in the company these problems represented inmonetary losses. The present work also details the proposals for improvements such as: a Markov Chain model and the Kardex that were evaluated economically and financially.The implementation proposal to be designed contains development procedures,standardized formats that allow controlling transport service processes and theproper management of warehouses and inventories. The NPV was S /.29,750.80, the B / C of 1.2 and the IRR of 70.14%, demonstrating the profitabilityof the proposals implemented. Finally and with all the information analyzed and collected; and from the diagnosisthat has been elaborated, an analysis of the results and discussion will bepresented in order to corroborate with quantitative data the evidences presentedand the improvement achieved with the implementation of a Markov Chain modelin logistics and maintenance to reduce costs of the company Fabián Express SAC.
