The credit and collection management in Peru can be distinguished by its overall or specific ignorance of the general process that works over the course of a credit granding and its following collection. Each financial entity has its own policies, all of them different, according to the corresponding sector they are aimed at. In that way, the objective of the following investigation is aimed at describing the credit and collection policies of a peruvian Edpyme coming from a colombian investment fund on the 2016 term, taking into account the credit management and collection management aspects, as well as the following sub aspects: credit standard, credit terms, breach risk and, collection process and policies. It's an applied and transverse investigation in its kind, of a descriptive level and non-experimental design. This study's target population was formed by a peruvian Edpyme which belongs to a colombian investment fund. The investigation design considered a vast revision and documentary analysis, fact checking, table devising, result discussion and analysis. Along the gathered and analyzed results, it was established that the Edpyme has diversified its products, which has resulted in an increased positioning while reducing payment delays. These actions had a significant improvement since the colombian investmend fund was added to the shareholders with its control and management systems reinforced as well as its corporate governance. All these aspects led to the objective of this investigation to be reached as well as the description of the variable measurements. This investigation has not addressed the strategic aspects of the credit and collection policies of a peruvian Edpyme of a colombian investment fund on the 2016 term. Instead, it has focused on describing the aspects pertaining the variable. Taking this into account, expanding this investigation is advised to have a wider more comprehensive outlook of the process design behind the tools in which credit and collection policies are based on.
