The present research work had as general objective to determine if the Implement Itil V3. Improves the incident management process of the Systems department in the Tottus La Marina Hypermarkets. To evaluate the effect of Itil V3 in Incident Management, it had two dimensions for its correct study, the number of Incidents that could be processed and the Response Time per registered incident; A Pre-Post Test methodology was used that allowed us to take a questionnaire on the perception of these dimensions on 15 recurring incidents to users, and after implementation, take the same questionnaire from the same users, being able to correlate their responses; A simple linear regression was used with a dichotomous independent variable that allowed us to see the effect between before and after implementation. For these investigations, a census sample of 22 users was used, made up of 10 cashier supervisors, 5 support staff in the cashier area, 5 heads of the permanence section, the cashier manager and the store manager. The investigation concluded fulfilling the objective and checking the hypothesis that the Itil V3 improved incident management by improving response time and the number of incidents processed.
