Based on the strategic importance of the quality of a service and the satisfaction of a user with respect to it, this research aims to demonstrate it in the medical field, determining as its main objective to establish the level of relationship between the quality of the service and the satisfaction of the users. users of a health polyclinic in the city of Trujillo, 2021. It is a quantitative approach with a descriptive - correlational scope, non-experimental design and cross-sectional; having as participants 381 users of a polyclinic. For data collection in the variable 'quality of care', the SERVQUAL survey and questionnaire instrument technique designed by Parasuraman et al (1991) was applied due to its effectiveness and reliability; being the multidimensional instrument admitted and most used to measure the quality of care in companies that provide services. Given this, 22 items related to five dimensions were identified and adapted. Regarding the variable 'satisfaction', the theoretical foundation promoted by Kotler (2003) is contemplated, from which 9 items related to three dimensions were identified and adapted. The survey applied to both variables, quality of service and satisfaction, considers a measurement through a Likert Scale with five values ranging from 1 to 5, where 1 totally disagrees and 5 totally agrees. Regarding the data obtained, there is a moderate positive significant relationship between the variables quality of service and customer satisfaction (r=.535; p=.000); Regarding the relationship of the satisfaction variable with the dimensions of service quality, there is a very low positive correlation of (r=.062; sig.=.228) with the tangible aspects, a very low significant correlation of (r= .068; sig=.185) with service reliability, a moderate significant correlation of (r=.488; sig=.000) with responsiveness, a low significant correlation of (r=.276; sig=, 000) with security. Finally, a moderate significant correlation of (r=.432; sig=.000) with empathy.
