This Professional Proficiency Project addresses the inefficiency issues in the production of a wooden furniture manufacturing company, particularly in the context of customized projects. These inefficiencies are caused by rework, lack of raw materials, poor time allocation, and design errors. Through this analysis, the root causes were identified, and the execution of the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method was proposed as a comprehensive solution in conjunction with Methods Engineering, aiming to streamline the production process of a company that faces penalties for delayed deliveries. By applying the SLP method through programs such as CORELAP, the plant was reorganized, production processes were optimized, and inventory management for ongoing projects was improved. The results showed a significant reduction in production times and the distance traveled during processes, from 79.1 meters to 53.1 meters. This led to lower operational costs and increased efficiency, as evidenced by the efficiency improvement from 62.67% to 75.97%, along with an increase in the production targets due to greater factory availability. This project highlights the impact of this methodology on plant layout and operations, concluding that the implementation of SLP is effective in solving efficiency problems in wooden furniture production, enhancing the company's image and competitiveness in the market.
