This project focuses on the need to improve and maintain two departmental routes, PU-127 and PU-130, which currently show significant signs of deterioration and deficiencies in their road infrastructure. The main objective is to evaluate and develop a proposal for the improvement and/or maintenance of these sections, in order to enhance the road serviceability of the feeder road corridor 40. The methodology employed in this study includes an analysis of the previously conducted studies on topography, soils, traffic, geology, hydrology, and socio-environmental aspects, from which an alternative solution is developed. The proposed solution aligns with current regulations and aims to provide a cost-effective and sustainable approach to road maintenance. Additionally, the guidelines of the Road Manual of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) will be used to ensure that the proposed interventions comply with current standards and improve the safety and efficiency of transportation in the region. The proposed alternative with microsurfacing pavement is found to be 15.70% more economical and 40% more durable compared to the double surface treatment, in addition to supporting moderate to high traffic. Improvements are highlighted regarding an additional metering of 1460.88m³ for cleaning and unblocking to maintain the importance of regular interventions in road transitability and maintenance, promoting safety, efficiency, inclusion, and economic development in the urban areas of the proposed routes.
