Knowledge management is crucial for the competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This study addresses the implementation of a knowledge management system in an SME, using Google Drive as the main tool for storing and sharing information. Initially, problems were identified in the SME Kenav Contratistas Generales SAC, such as difficult access to important information, the need for technological tools, infrequent use of historical data, low frequency of corrective actions to repetitive errors, and the effectiveness of communication channels. The developed procedure focuses on creating an organized structure allowing storage and easy access to relevant documents, complemented by meetings where lessons learned are discussed and a culture of learning is fostered. Specific folders were established for different areas and projects, ensuring that information remains up-to-date and accessible. Employee participation and consistency in using the platform are key components of the procedure, ensuring that all employees understand how to upload, search, and share information. This system not only facilitates collaboration and communication within the company but also preserves organizational knowledge, reducing the risk associated with the loss of valuable information. In conclusion, the use of a technological tool for knowledge management in an SME provides an effective and low-cost solution to improve operational efficiency, foster collaboration, and preserve corporate knowledge.
