In this professional work, Lean Manufacturing tools were developed and used to increase the availability of equipment and machinery during the process of manufacturing corrugated cardboard containers, which is part of the secondary paper and packaging sector. The company is going through a problem due to low availability of equipment, which causes extra production costs such as overtime, penalties and loss of potential customers, harming the development and sustained growth of the company. Therefore, to address this problem and mitigate it, in this research work three Lean tools were chosen: STANDARDIZATION, SMED and TPM. Firstly, THE STANDARDIZATION OF THE PROCESS helps us guarantee that all operations and products are manufactured in the same way, significantly reducing reprocessing and losses due to lack of quality. Secondly, changeover time in less than 10 minutes (SMED) will allow us to reduce changeover times between orders and increase the productivity of the machines. Finally, TPM stands for total productive maintenance, with preventive maintenance of equipment without breakdowns and failures, which will maximize the entire efficiency of the production line, avoiding zero accidents, zero failures and zero defects.
