This research work analyzed the production processes in the co packing area, where imported products from the main countries producing processed foods and technology are packaged. The company represents and distributes traditional and modern channels in Lima and the provinces. The study showed inefficiency in the process due to manual flows, inefficient area distribution, lack and fatigue of operating personnel. Factors that generated extra costs and operating time overruns were identified, as well as delivery indicators below expectations. Interviews were conducted with the personnel responsible for the operating and administrative processes, who agreed that the area where the conditioning process is carried out is not adequate in terms of infrastructure and design. The development of the project was based on the implementation of three continuous conveyor belt lines, installation of two labeling machines to semi-automate the production process, redesign of the process, adequate redistribution of equipment in the co packing area, and the application of Lean Manufacturing and 5S tools. Finally, the main objectives are to reduce bottleneck time, improve efficiency in man-hours needed, reduce waste and increase multifactor productivity, thus achieving a significant reduction in the cost per case processed by 26% and initially increasing production capacity by 10%.
