Maternity is a stage in the life of women that is usually linked to the fulfillment of responsibilities and expectations about the roles expected of a mother. In this scenario, the objective of this research was to relate academic stress and the level of role overload in university mothers in Metropolitan Lima. It has a controlled correlational design and associative strategy. The instruments used were the SISCO Inventory of academic stress (Barraza, 2005) and the Role Overload Test (Anticona & Arana, 2018). 156 university mothers between the ages of 18 and 30 from Metropolitan Lima participated in this research. Among the results, a positive, moderate, and significant relationship was obtained for the dimensions of Assessment (r = .73) and Presentation (r = .61), both from Academic Stress variable, while a negative and low association for the dimension of Strategies (r = -.42) and the variable Role Overload. It is concluded that there are significant connections between academic stress and role overload in university mothers in Metropolitan Lima.
