Peru has significant economic potential in the development of tourism. By 2023, it is expected to represent 2.5% of the national GDP, according to the CEO of Promperú, despite the various complications that have directly impacted the sector: the pandemic, social conflicts, economic and political instability, among others. It is precisely this scenario that hinders tourism sector businesses from projecting sustained growth or, in the worst cases, facing the risk of bankruptcy or closure. This situation becomes even more severe in the cities within the interior of the country. In the San Martin region, the tourism industry is not recovering adequately, mainly due to the lack of both public and private capabilities to address the current challenges of the industry and market needs, as well as the limited professionalization of the sector to compete at the national and international levels. This work aims to develop a strategic proposal for CasaBosque, a tourist accommodation in the San Martin region. It seeks to analyze the majority of the factors currently affecting the tourism industry in the region and propose an approach that aligns with the current regional context and global trends. This will help minimize the risk of closure or bankruptcy while projecting the company's growth through improvements in management, operations, sales, customer service, human resources, and other areas.
