The problem to be addressed in this article is the low efficiency in agro-industrial gelatinized maca company in Junín, Peru. The importance of this problem lies in the increase of stops in the machinery, as well as the increase of reprocesses in tasks that require the intervention of the operators, which negatively impacts the productive efficiency of the company and therefore increases the costs associated with maintenance and quality. The constant shutdowns are associated with the high rate of breakdowns, failures and obstructions that greatly reduce the time available to produce within the company and meet the market demand for gelatinized maca, which is why it has decided on the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology, which addresses and solves efficiency problems through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), a technique that reduces the high rate of breakdowns, failures and obstructions through preventive and autonomous maintenance that involves operators and ensures that the machinery is available as long as possible. Likewise, through Total Quality Management (TQM), reprocesses are reduced due to the disinfection method and drying method through the standardization of the tasks performed by the operators. This methodology was validated through a discrete simulation showing that the results reduce the gap with the market, and a return on investment is obtained based on the greater amount of gelatinized maca offered.
