The purpose of this thesis is to propose a solution that increases the circulation of users who travel by bicycle, at the intersection of Avenida La Marina and Avenida Universitaria. This academic report has 5 chapters, where we will address what is essential to support the topic to be investigated. The first chapter is made up of the theoretical framework of the study and the software to be used. In the second chapter the methodology is established, where we break down the steps to follow in this research, with the support of a flow chart. In the third chapter the conclusion of the study area is developed, here we mention the state of the study area, the deficiencies we found and the conflicts that arise, with the support of a photographic panel and measurements. In the fourth chapter, the improvement proposal is established, where we propose a solution through a geometric and traffic light redesign, here a continuity of the existing cycle path and a change over time in the phases of the traffic light cycles are proposed, to increase the travel time of cyclists. In addition, we rely on Vissim and Synchro software to simulate this proposal. Finally, in the fifth chapter there is the comparative analysis, where we support the difference between the current state and the proposal using statistical data. Likewise, we conclude with the acceptance of the proposal in a satisfactory manner to improve the problem. It also includes conclusions, recommendations, annexes, bibliography and index of tables and figures.
