The importance of the construction of telecommunications towers for antennas in the context of connectivity in Peru is of vital importance and especially in regions with lower coverage and quality of service. Therefore, regulations, standards or manuals are required for the design of the structure for the local conditions of Peru. However, there are no design documents for this type of infrastructure, for this reason the professionals in charge of the design are based on international regulations, especially the American standard EIA/TIA-222. In the current context of deployment of telecommunications towers, there is a tendency for professionals to consider the EIA/TIA-222-F standard (published in 1995) for the design of towers and, with less diffusion, the EIA/TIA-222-F standard. 222-G (published in 2006). Therefore, in this research work, a comparative analysis of both standards will be developed for the structural redesign of a 70-meter self-supporting tower located in the Loreto region for new loads. The purpose of the comparative analysis will be to obtain an efficient design in accordance with the tower location conditions. The analysis of design load considerations according to each standard, structural modeling in the MStower v6 program, verification of resistance conditions according to ASD and LRFD design methods, and verification of service or operation according to the parameters will be addressed as important objectives. set by the operator. The results obtained from the analysis carried out show that for the 70-meter self-supporting tower and for the location; The EIA/TIA-222-G standard presents a more efficient redesign than the EIA/TIA-222-F standard. The difference in reinforcement weight is 2.57Tn, the most stressed element in the reinforcement of the EIA/TIA-222-F standard is 95% while for the EIA/TIA-222-G standard the most stressed element reaches 85%. Likewise, it is verified that for the service or operation condition with a wind speed of 90 km/h it complies with both standards without the need for reinforcement.
