Managing uncertainty is crucial in construction projects. Uncertainty related to various factors such as suppliers, productivity indices, material availability, among many others, can impact the project's scope, timeline, and cost. To address this challenge, various methodologies are commonly employed to ensure the continuity of operations and their efficiency. The project under investigation is no exception and leverages lean tools, which were identified during the baseline study. However, the correct utilization of these tools and the benefits they can provide depend on a clear understanding of the philosophy and the cooperation of the project team, both of which are currently essential aspects being addressed within this project. This research focuses on a case study related to the wet finishes of the Jorge Chavez Airport expansion project. To this end, multiple interviews were conducted to identify the issues affecting its execution. Upon identifying these issues, solutions were proposed and integrated into a flowchart. These solutions encompass the use of effective meetings, standardization of formats, constraint management, and the use of buffers. Additionally, a working manual was developed to facilitate the implementation of these proposals, ultimately reducing the impact of uncertainty on the project.
