Peru, being a country that is constantly in the midst of social problems, has begun to take art as a means of citizen demand, one of these expressions being artivist collage, which is characterized by criticizing social and political systems. This research seeks to analyze its visual language, having as a hypothesis that collage as a means of political discourse is more powerful than other artistic manifestations due to the confrontation of the spectator with their reality on photographic record that is at the same time intervened in an exaggerated way, thus creating an even more difficult message to accept. The methodology applied was a qualitative approach, being cross-sectional and non-experimental with a field study focused on collecting experiences of experts in collage and artivism. The series to be analyzed and the experts to be interviewed were meticulously selected under the criteria of convenience. Among the main results are: the proposal to categorize two types of artivist collage according to their communicative intention; the graphic elements that represent the voice of protest based on Acaso's theory of visual language; the female perspective and its graphic codes in social discourse; two types of textual content, these being poetic and referential in function and finally the application of intertextuality as a form of generating new meanings from pre-existing texts and images. As a conclusion, collage is recognized for its ability to unify communities in the struggle for a better country.
