The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between intrinsic motivation and organizational commitment of obstetricians in the National Hospitals of EsSalud in Metropolitan Lima after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2023. It used a quantitative approach, correlational scope and cross-sectional non-experimental design. The population and sample consisted of 120 obstetricians in the National Hospitals Edgardo Rebagliati Martins (53), Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen (37) and Alberto Sabogal Sologuren (30) of EsSalud in Metropolitan Lima after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2023. The data collection technique was the survey, while the instrument was the questionnaire. The results showed a significant and positive relationship, reaching an Rho=0.723, between intrinsic motivation and organizational commitment. Among the conclusions, the following stands out: the obstetricians of the institutions subject to the study mostly apply competence, relationship and autonomy needs. In addition, they moderately applied continuous commitment, affective commitment and normative commitment within the functions they perform in the COVID-19 pandemic.
