The present work of professional sufficiency presents the proposal for the redesign of the production process whose main objective is to increase productivity in the operations of a plastic bag factory called PLASTIMIQ, the company has the need to make the change of raw material due to regulations governmental. Chapter I is comprised of the background, in which the environment of the plastic industry in the world and in Peru is explained. In addition, the theoretical framework, in which the technical explanations about the Industrial Engineering tools that have been used are made. In chapter II, the information of the company in which we applied the study, the current situation of PLASTIMIQ, is exposed. The purpose of this chapter is to find the root problem with its respective root causes and consequences, which are reflected in the problem tree. In chapter III, the tools, SMED, 5S and Preventive Maintenance, to be used for the problem are described. In addition, the indicators to measure the performance of the proposal and the necessary budget for the application are specified. For the last chapter, the application of the proposed model is developed through the Arena simulator, which is used to measure the cycle times of the production of a system. In this case, a comparison will be made between the current and the proposed one.
