The objective of the present research is to discover whether there is a relationship between the following variables: impulsive buying behavior, fear of complete lockdown, peers buying, scarcity of essential products in shelves, limited supply of essential goods, panic buying, fear appeal and social media fake news in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in Metropolitan Lima. The methodology included a quantitative and correlational approach, with a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. As a quantitative research, 400 online surveys were applied to analyze the relationship between the study variables and Generation X and Y behavior. In the first chapter, the theoretical framework will be presented, where the mentioned variables will be defined. In addition, the research articles consulted, and their main findings will be analyzed. In the second chapter, we will present the problem of the study, hypotheses and objectives. In the third chapter we will discuss the methodology, the type of research, the operationalization of the variables, the sampling process and the methodological instruments for data collection. In the fourth and fifth chapter, the results obtained will be analyzed together with the statistical analyses, the Spearman’s correlation coefficient, and a will be made between the results of each generation and the theories of the research articles. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations of the research will be presented.
