Currently, Peru exports fifty varieties of fresh grapes to the world, with the United States and the Netherlands as the main importers. Due to the complexity of the logistics chain for this product, there are higher cost overruns to which it is exposed. Planning cost overruns are those costs that can be avoided through greater investment, efficiency, and management. Therefore, the objective of this thesis is to find the relationship between logistics cost overruns and the competitiveness of fresh grape exports to the United States during the period 2017 to 2021. The following dimensions will be considered as part of the independent variable Logistics cost overruns: (i) Storage surcharges, (ii) Transport surcharges and (iii) Port surcharges. The research has been developed non-experimental mixed approach of a cross-sectional correlational-causal design. For which in the quantitative analysis, thirty surveys were conducted to executives of various agro-exporters that make up our study sample. Likewise, for the qualitative analysis, thirteen interviews were conducted with experts from agro-export companies, government institutions such as PROMPERU, and unions such as ADEX. Finally, based on the results obtained in the SPSS and Atlas TI, it was concluded that logistics cost overruns are not related to the competitiveness of fresh grape exports from Peru to the United States.
