This research developed in a company dedicated to the production and cement distribution, located in the construction sector. The study focuses on the dispatch area and warehouse, finding the problem in the delay of dispatch of bulk cement mixer. A deep analysis conducted using various engineering tools to identify the main cause that led to the problem, proposing a solution hypothesis, and quantifying the improvement opportunities. The purpose of the improvement proposal is to design, develop and validate the use of the tools work standardization, planning and production control (PPC) and Heijunka. The proposed model will contribute to reducing the delay time in which the has been developing the process by mixer truck. Consequently, the 146 days/year of delay will reduce to 29 day/ year, with the objective to minimize the cost of the economic impact. By implementing the three tools mentioned above, the cement dispatch process can reduce from 45 to 29 minutes bulk to mixers, exceeding the goal set by the company of 30 minutes. In addition, the increase in dispatches on time from 50% to 96% will achieve, ideally for the company of 95%. The improvement proposal concluded favorably, concentrating on an economically viable project with a NPV of S/174,178.80 an IRR of 27.49% and a B/ C 1.41.
