This work analyzes the influence of the elements of storytelling used in advertising for the conception of a new Peruvian cultural identity. Currently, advertising practices a new form of communication and connection between brands and their audience that allows identification with the characters and the plot presented, but to talk about the influence of advertising on cultural identity, one must first understand the social and cultural events that help to generate the symbols that we share today and how they have been merging. To do this, the MiBanco “Cholo Soy” campaign is analyzed from a qualitative approach of phenomenological design that contemplates conducting individual interviews using a semi-structured guide applied to the research subject: people between 18 and 25 years old from socioeconomic level B who reside in the districts from Pueblo Libre, Jesús María, San Isidro and Magdalena del Mar.
